If you’ve visited our e-store in the past couple of months, you may have seen the mock-up for the book LearnAkan English-Twi Dictionary on display. I put that there, with a ‘COMING SOON’ notice under it, to let you in on what I had been working on.
I am excited to announce that, after months of work on this piece, all is set for us (you and I) to outdoor it on March 6, 2019 to commemorate Ghana’s 62nd Independence Day anniversary. I am particularly happy about this launch because this is one of the main targets I set out for myself in 2016 when I started the LEARNAKAN project: to come out with a bilingual dictionary that I can trust to serve the lexicographical needs of my students and other Twi learners. And, for it to be ready… #smiling.
So, as you go about your Akan-learning activities, do mark out March 6, 2019 on your calendar to be part of those who get their copies on the day of launch. The dictionary will be launched and made available for purchase at exactly 1pm GMT on the said date.
I’ll be sharing further details about the book and its launch in the days leading up to the launch.
Thank you all for your continuous support.
