#LPP LEVEL 04

Onua, worebɔ wo ho mmɔden pa ara o! Welcome to level four of the LEARNAKAN PROFICIENCY PROGRAM, a month-to-month set of e-courses aimed at equipping you with the necessary foundations for onward practice.

You are free to skip any topic that you already have a good knowledge on. Do keep in mind though that most of the topics, lessons, and levels are linked. This means your understanding of a topic, lesson, or an entire course may be dependent on your understanding of a previous one.

Each level is divided into four sections, representing the weeks of the month. For each week, you will be expected to take a topic each on pronunciation (PRN), grammar (GRM, vocabulary (VCB), speaking (SPK), and reading (RDG). Sample dialogues are also provided for most of the lessons to help reinforce what you learn, and also help you with your listening (LST). We believe each of the modules offered is essential towards your overall learning, and must be approached with all seriousness

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN IN THIS LEVEL

In level four:

• we will compare the consonant digraphs in pairs for you to appreciate their distinct sounds
• you will learn how to convey intensive pronouns, indefinite pronouns, relative pronouns, and demonstrative pronouns in Twi
• you will learn to count days in Twi
• you will learn some useful phrases for expressing regrets
• you will be introduced to Twi vowels, and the possible sounds that the vowels “a”, “e”, and “o” can represent.
• you will be introduced to the vowel harmony concept which, if understood correctly, will help you a great deal especially in pronunciation and listening.
• you will learn some periods of time vocabulary
• you will learn to talk about the day
• you will learn some vocabulary items that relate to friendships
• you will learn some essential phrases that you can use to make friends
• you will learn the Twi names of the various parts of the human body.
• you will learn some phrases that you can use to show interest in a conversation.
